This just in: There’s been another sighting of our Horse Head Mask!
Redditor narlity shared this photo of a seal wearing the infamous creepy horse mask, and looking surprisingly natural in it, if we do say so ourselves.
Welcome to the club, seal.

Meet Thumbelina, the world’s smallest horse!
Standing just 17 inches tall, she is never going to be a champion show-jumper. In fact, the tiny mare is so small she would struggle to leap over a bucket. But such things are of little concern for feisty Thumbelina, who has just been officially recognised as the world’s smallest horse.
The five-year-old received the title from the Guinness Book of Records after her astonished owners realised she was never going to grow any bigger. She was born on a farm in America to a couple who specialise in breeding miniature horses. These popular show horses usually weigh about 250lb and reach a height of 34 inches when they are fully grown.
But when Thumbelina was born, it was immediately clear she would never grow to this size. At birth she weighed 8lb - the weight of many new-born babies - and eventually she grew to a mere 60lb. Thumbelina’s extraordinary size has been put down to dwarfism, which makes her a miniature of a miniature. But despite this massive difference in size, it is feisty Thumbelina who rules the roost over the stallions and racehorses on her 150-acre farm.

Grinding horseradish outside of Goldberg’s at 502 Maxwell, c.1910, Chicago
According to Wikipedia:
Where the English name horseradish comes from is not certain. One theory is derivation from the old German word “Mähre” (ahd, meaning female horse, where misinterpretation of the German name Meerrettich (“sea radish”) became Mährrettich (“mare radish”). Despite the name this plant is poisonous to horses.
There’s a whole list of plants that are poisonous for horses!

This podcast reveals the deepest secrets of the origin of My Life As A Horse. Consider yourself warned.
A primitive, early version of the Creepy Horse Mask is featured in this advertising for Ghost Catchers.
If I experience an afterlife, I hope it looks like this.

My Life As A Horse tweets at The AV Club. A couple hours later, AV Club posts this article. Coincidence? (Probably.)
“Horsin’ Around With David Faustino” (at 01:47… c/o @E_I_T)
My Life As A Horse is pleased to announce that their cover of Grover’s “Over, Around, Under, and Through” (a.k.a. “Near, Far”) from “Sesame Street” will be part of the upcoming Jim Henson covers album. Thanks to Troy Simons and Jason Richard Kron for bringing the horse onboard. Many more thanks to come when this thing is in the can! You can keep updated on the project at Facebook. In the meantime, enjoy the original.
WHY DIDN’T SOMEONE TELL ME THIS IS A THING?
William Garvey (songwriter):
The horses represent the five senses from Hindu philosophy (The Bhagavad Gita) and the ability to lift one’s perception above these physical limitations and to see beyond this limited Earthly perspective.
